Real-world examples:

Example 1: A logo design from 2010 was requests in 2012. This customer expected us to have it on file and to re-send it. We do NOT accept this responsibility. We don't mind checking, but this is not a reasonable expectation, rather it would be a favour or a billable service.
Example 2: A large print order of 20 boxes was not picked up for three months. This customer requested that we ship the cards to our office and intended to pick them up from us. We had large boxes in our work place that we worked around for months. This is NOT acceptable. We didn't think to ask this client how long they intended to keep the boxes at our location and we are not setup as a storage facility. We don't mind discussing these things in advance and would love to accommodate.
Example 3: Spelling mistake on last name was not noticed on business card order. This kind of thing happens all the time. Our designers rely on the proofing process to ensure no mistakes have been made. If there is an approved proof, and the final print reflects that proof, then you pay for it. However, we have made a mistake where we sent the wrong file to print so the proof did not reflect and only in this case then YES we will re-print at no cost to you.
