About Choice OMG

Edmonton's digital marketing specialists since 2010. A 12-person team that monitors 60,000+ data points daily across 33 active clients, runs automated health checks every morning, and verifies ad budgets every 30 minutes.

Our Story

Choice OMG was founded in 2010 in Edmonton, Alberta. We started with a conviction that small and mid-sized businesses in Western Canada deserved the same calibre of digital marketing as large enterprise companies, without the agency markup, the junior account managers, or the vague reporting.

Over 15 years, we've built something closer to a tech company than a traditional agency. Our monitoring infrastructure tracks 60,000+ data points daily, health-checks 21 websites every morning across 8 categories, and verifies ad budgets every 30 minutes. When something breaks at 2 AM, our systems catch it before you wake up. No white-label subcontractors. No offshore execution. Every strategy is built by the same people who execute it.

Today we manage 33 active clients across healthcare, automotive, construction, and professional services. Our infrastructure compounds: every client benefits from the monitoring, tooling, and pattern recognition we've built over 15 years of managing real accounts in competitive Western Canadian markets.

What Makes Us Different

We run digital marketing the way a tech company runs infrastructure. Monitoring beats reporting. Specialists outperform generalists. Flat fees align incentives. Infrastructure compounds.

Monitoring Beats Reporting

Most agencies send you a monthly PDF. We monitor 60,000+ data points daily, run 21 automated health checks every morning, and verify ad budgets every 30 minutes. Problems are caught and fixed before they show up in a report.

Flat Fees, No Surprises

All web optimization and Google Ads engagements are flat monthly retainers. We never charge a percentage of ad spend. Scope is defined upfront. Same invoice every month until we agree to expand scope. Read why flat fees align incentives.

Specialists, Not Generalists

Our 12-person team has deep specialization across technical SEO, Google Ads, web development, and content strategy. You get the specialist, not a generalist account manager passing work down the chain.

Our Team

Our specialists. No junior account managers, no white-label subcontractors. The people you meet are the people who do the work.

Citation Share Is Not Market Share

Citation Share will be the most misread number in marketing this year, and Microsoft says so in its own documentation. Added to Bing's AI Performance report on June 16, 2026, it shows the percentage of citations that point to your site out of every citation shown for the same grounding query. Microsoft states plainly that it is observational: not a ranking system, not a competitive scoreboard, not traffic share, and not a quality score. Here is exactly what it counts, the four things it does not mean, and how to watch it move without overreacting.

Ask Your Developer These 3 AI-Crawler Questions

A page can be crawled by AI bots, indexed by search engines, and still never appear in an AI answer, because crawled, indexed, and cited are three separate states. The most common reason a business is missing from ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity, and Google's AI answers is not weak content; it is a robots.txt line, a CDN toggle, a stray noindex, or JavaScript-only text quietly blocking the AI search crawlers. You do not need to read the config to catch it. Three questions to whoever built your site surface the problem fast.

One Click, a Thousand Copies: How Advertising Technology Actually Tracks You

A single ad click sets off pixels, real-time bidding auctions, hashed-email matching and server-side pipelines that survive clearing your cookies entirely. Regulators in the EU, UK, Canada and US have each ruled against parts of this system: Belgian courts found the ad-auction consent string itself is personal data, and the FTC fined BetterHelp $7.8 million and GoodRx $1.5 million for leaking health data to advertisers. This post walks through the machinery in plain language, one stage at a time.
